Seems like you also used the Brook Creek approach from the cabin picture. I ran into a bear on that approach the day before. Had zero visibility on Bushnell because of the crazy clouds and storm that moved in and had to give up Twin Sisters N, missed that view!
Did you drive all the way to the "trailhead"?

for the brand new register! I am the 2nd party to sign it I rarely see any wildlife, but saw a giant bull elk, a furry creature (fox or coyote) and a grouse, but no bear. I missed the correct turn and took the "wrong " mining road towards Twin Sisters North (Ferguson creek). Found the correct road on the descent from Bushnell. I am a skittish 4wd driver, so I parked down at the creek crossing, ha!

Aah, I see. I was able to take my Subie crosstrek a mile from the creek crossing to a nice flat camp spot. I was very surprised how little traffic that road and that area gets for being visible from 285 and the highway being visible for majority of the hike.
