I scouted out the old trail on the north side of Truro Creek the afternoon before and marked with a small cairn what I believe to be the preferred departure point from the Lincoln Creek Road. Cross Lincoln Creek near its confluence with Truro Creek and then pass through an area of marshy willows to find an open meadow. The trail starts near the high point of this meadow, just north of Truro Creek. Lots of deadfall on the lower portions of the trail, but still easy enough to follow and steadily improving as you gain elevation. At around 11,800 ft, steep tundra slopes lead directly to the summit. Summer conditions.
