Yes I also saw 3 areas of bear scat right on the trail in the wooded area. I also counted 67 areas where there were trees down that needed to be avoided. Some more difficult than others. Annoying. With all the dead trees in the area, the trail is only going to get worse in the future...6.8 miles to summit from TH. Not the 5.3 the sign says...Can we all agree that nobody wants to reach a secluded 14er summit and have to listen to someone talk on speaker phone?
