Full summer conditions below 12,800'. Some snow on the ascent of the ridge between 12,800' and 13,500', but most of this was already melting on my descent. Clear above 13,500', including the crux Class 2 portion, which was a pleasant surprise. Did not find anything deeper than a few inches. Any snow was avoidable or traversable without traction. I brought microspikes, gaiters, and an ice axe not knowing what to expect and didn't use any of them.

Ive attached a few photos showing the conditions on 09/13/2020. I fully expect the entirety of the trail to be melted out in the next few days. Mud will be a nuisance until enough time passes for everything to dry out.

Did conditions look about the same over on Wetterhorn? I was hoping to hit it this coming weekend.

FYI, we climbed in Saturday from Matterhorn. The traverse around Broken Hill has some slushy and muddy spots and a few flooded spots. This will hopefully dry out over the next few days.

RJ- I posed a Wetterhorn report. Very dry minus about the last 300' of elevation on the trail to the shoulder.

It looked pretty clear from what I could see, and a friend who climbed it today reported that it was completely clear up top with some avoidable snow at lower elevations.

By next weekend Iâd venture to guess itâll be very much melted out!
