Snow free for the entire route over Wood and 13,708 to the saddle northeast of Animas Forks. The ridge to the summit of Animas Forks is holding snow, including a fairly large slab covering the last 100 ft (photo). For the descent, we returned to the saddle just west of Wood and then dropped down scree to an old mining road which contours back to Cinnamon Pass. Photos (click for slideshow):
