Route rolled as described with one exception.
Right now at least, it's better to go about 1/10th of a mile past (what I think is) "the boulder" to make the left off the Bierstadt trail.The best, driest route stays higher than you'd expect. My down track shows it.

No traction on the way up. Microspikes for the descent of the steep loose parts of the upper gully.
Lots of fun once the sun came up and we were able to exit the swamp!
Strange to be alone at the top of Evans - just us and a couple goats.
