Really just wanted to give an update on the Cottonwood Creek Trail. There was a significant amount more of deadfall that has fallen on the trail, etc. since hiking Crestone Peak in late June. My hiking partner and I joked that it felt like a completely different trail.
Careful route finding and being familiar with the area helped.
Route free of snow up the red gully and the ledges though?
Thanks for the update. I have plans to day hike this soon up to just Crestone peak and did the approach back in sepetember for the needle so I am familiar with the route.
Think it would make navigation in the dark hard? I plan to start at 4-430 AM
