The trail conditions were perfect. It was around 20-25F during the whole hike up and down. Started around 8:30am and took me 2 hours to get to the top. The snow from the previous day snowfall made the hike even more fan. I was wearing regular hiking boots and was totally fine. The strong wind in the last 500ft made the hike quite challenging. I barely could keep balance on the boulders. This is the reason why many people turned back that day. Many people are saying that hiking poles are helping, I think the opposite. On the boulder section you want to hold on boulders with your hand to avoid falling. Being out of state, I didn't have time for acclimatization. Just took 3 pills of ibuprofen before the hike and was absolutely fine. Just choose the steady pace and dint stop often, otherwise body is loosing rhythm. Make sure to have hat and gloves!!!
