|Peak:||Quandary Peak (14er)|
|Date of Info:||10/18/2020|
Hiked from 0530-1130. Temperature was just above freezing at the trailhead, but felt no wind until treeline. From that point, it got gustier and colder all the way to the summit, which we reached at 0815. With the wind chill, the temperature was probably in the single digits by 13,000'. Sunrise at 7:18 helped warm things up, but it didn't burn through the clouds until closer to 0900. If the forecast is cooperative, I recommend a later start by at least an hour to take advantage of the warmth of daylight for a more comfortable hike. No snow or ice anywhere on the trail. We saw at least 50 other hikers.
