I climbed up the southwest slope and down the east slope or main Mt Massive trail. The southwest slope had some short snow patches but I didn't need traction to get through it. The east slope trail was buried in snow up higher but still easy to follow through the tundra. This trail had more snow on it through the forest but it was already tracked out so it wasn't an issue as I hiked down through it. Beautiful loop! Photos (click for slideshow):
