Climbed Horseshoe today. Road is not too bad. Made it to the gate in a Subaru Outback. Low clearance vehicles will probably have issues with depth of snow.

L1zzz1ee, Is there a road closure gate below Leavick mine? And if so is that the gate you are referring to? Asking because a CR on Sherman from 11/16 says he had to park a mile below Leavick, which is the normal winter closure area. I know there is a gate at 12,000. But I doubt you would have driven that far for Horseshoe.

I just read a road report for Fourmile Creek Trailhead under Mt Sherman southwest ridge. There are images of the snow on the road and the upper gate so it looks like you can get to the end with 4WD and clearance. There's snow in the forecast for this weekend though so that can change again.
