Too much snow now to follow the summer route, but not enough to do the winter route. Ended up in misery climbing the scree to reach the northwest ridge. Descending via the north ridge was MUCH easier -- almost no scree and much more tundra and larger, stable rocks. Wish I would have gone up and down via the north ridge. Beautiful day up there though -- light winds and abundant sunshine! |
