Road closed in Ashcroft about 2 miles short of TH. Put snowshoes on at Pearl junction and wore them to the top of the head wall. From there went boots up the ridge and to the summit.

Nice work, its a gorgeous area with snow. Did you by chance get any photos of the southern slopes on Malumute, or looking back into the basin from the summit?

I don‘t have any pics but it was my original plan to head up Malemute after Castle. My plans changed because I expected there to be much more snow on the slopes heading up to the ridge of Malemute. You could probably avoid almost all snow up the slope until you got to the ridge. I chose not to deal with all the loose scree in my mountaineering boots.

Nice report
