Remember that scene from Tommy Boy where they are sitting listless in the middle of the lake on the sailboat and Chris Farley remarks, "Need a little wind here!"? Saturday was the opposite of that. The trail is in good condition. A few snowdrifts in spots due to the wind, but still easy to follow. We brought snowshoes and used them in the beginning while crossing the marsh, but probably didn't need them. Microspikes were helpful when we got onto the west slopes and all the way to the summit.
