Beautiful and windy today on Mount Buckskin. Parked at the kite lake road closure (where plowing ends) @ Paris Mill last night. ~ 2.5mi from Alma turnoff.
Tried to take a shortcut this morning and got cliffed out. Typical me. Too dangerous with loaded snow in the in-between gullies, too. Headed south. Lost an hour and a half but it was really cool looking at plants and birds and rocks and things.
Broke trail until about 11'500 when I found another set of snowshoe tracks. Did not need snowshoes above tree-line. Scoured terrain, and a face full of wind (~20mph from North) until about 13,300 when I hit the high ridge and then some gusts from the west hit 40-50. Descended more or less the standard NE ridge route. Little snow on it's edge ridge and wind swept as well. Did not see another human all day.

Based on your first three pics, it looks like you went south and ascended all of Loveland Mountain to reach Buckskin. Well, you got 2 13ers!
Here's the standard route description for Buckskin, which uses all of the Kite Lake road:
Mt. Buckskin - Northeast Slope

That's exactly what I did. I read a couple reports about the ridge from the south over Loveland being more avy safe / i'm pretty burned out on Kite Lake road! In the end, the NE slopes were quite wind scoured so i made it a loop. Thank you for the link though!
