Put in a snowshoe trench to treeline. From there it's doubtful anyone could see it since it was filled within about a minute after we left it. Trenched to a safe zone just below Hagar's E/SE face and decided against an ascent due to wind loading. Headed to Golden Bear via mellow north facing slopes. Probably 12 inches of new soft snow and more in some places, particularly above 12k. Trench was in good shape below treeline on the descent. We preserved ski tracks when possible. |
