Note: we descended from Point 13,580 A, most people will come up from Willow Lake. This CR does NOT describe the conditions up Willow Lake, only from 13,580 A to the summit.
We dropped into the basin from 13,580 A's summit nearly directly on loose Class 2 slopes. They're entirely dry and not terribly steep, just lots of loose rock everywhere. The basin was pleasant and mostly dry with a couple of small streams. Instead of going to the Adams/13,546 saddle we took a series of grass ramps up to the ridge above the saddle, then to the summit. All Class 2. There was one elongated snow field we avoided right near the summit but just walked around it. We descended back to the saddle then reascended Adams; see my Adams conditions report for the conditions on Adams' west ridge.
