Parry Peak A
Condition Updates
Route: via Berthoud Pass
Posted On: 2020-06-14, By: LetsGoMets
Info: Linked Flora, Eva, and Parry from Berthoud Pass. Eva to Parry clear of snow, summer conditions.
Route: from Mt Bancroft
Posted On: 2020-06-15, By: nedryarson
Info: Traversed over to Parry and back from Mt Bancroft. Snow is all avoidable except the final 25 yards to the summit. Cool summit directly above Winter Park ski area.
Route: Berthoud Pass

Info: No snow or even mud anywhere on the trail. Only trace signs of a trail at all past Flora.
Route: From Fall River Reservoir
Posted On: 2019-06-09, By: Kitten
Info: We started at Fall River Reservoir, road is passable most of the way, except for the last 0.3 miles. Quite a bit of snow during the first mile in the trees, snowshoes were somewhat helpful, but route finding was tricky. Higher up, microspikes and ice axe were enough. Route was almost 80% all in snow. We saw one skier go all the way from the top.
Route: From Mount Eva
Posted On: 2018-09-03, By: supranihilest
Info: Parry is quite a distance from Mount Eva, though most of it is easy, all of it Class 1 and Class 2. There isn't a trail but the route is obvious - there's really only one way you can go. The saddle between Eva and Perry is not as steep as the one between Flora and Eva.
Route: Divide from Eva
Posted On: 2018-06-02, By: cougar
Info: Similar to Eva, about summer conditions. Small snowfield and cornice below summit on way to Bancroft.
Route: Ridge from Bancroft
Posted On: 2017-07-01, By: MC.Ikema
Info: Some snowfields on the slopes of Parry, however, all are avoidable except for one very short 6 ft. crossing right below the summit. Traction not used.
Route: South Slopes Ski
Posted On: 2017-06-02, By: B_2
Info: Continuous snow from reservoir to approx 13,000 but it's going fast in spots and my guess would be some gaps by next week. Top 1500-1800 snow was in great condition to boot up in early morning, good ski conditions with mostly cloudy conditions all morning, lower 500-700 including reservoir, basin, lower part of snowfield were soft in early morning (up to knee deep post-holing), and in terms of skiing total slop by 10:30am (still in cloudy cond). Road to TH is in rough shape, requiring decent clearance more importantly than 4WD, but both are recommended, and is clear up to about 1/4 mi below Fall Reservoir. Road to Chinn is still snowed in. Might be a little heavy/wet all around on a sunny day and/or warm night, there is evidence of small but recent loose wet activity and some random small shallow sluffs higher up. Start early friends! Stay safe.
Route: Bear Claw
Posted On: 2015-06-16, By: Goat9
Info: I climbed up Parry Peak‘s South Slopes via Mount Eva and Mount Flora from Berthoud Pass. It was mostly trail, talus, and tundra hiking from the pass. I never put my skis on until down the Bear Claw. The snow in the Bear Claw chutes does not reach the summit. Needed to hike down to the chutes to reach the snow, and the runs are still long. Brutal bushwhack down Parry Creek to get to Mary Jane. Below treeline is spotty snow and a LOT of blown trees.
