Rogers Peak
Condition Updates
Route: Northeast Ridge form Road
Posted On: 2020-06-07, By: goldenite
Info: Rogers and Warren from the gate closure. No snow on route and pretty straight-forward. Took the road, cutting the switchback, until I started heading towards Rogers at the saddle, marked 12,152 on the USA Topo map. It was 12.5 miles RT, so a nice "honest" way to get these 13ers. Lots of bikers and the Echo lake TH, gate closure, and road between were filled with cars looking down around noon. About half of the closure lot was full when I arrived at 6:30. Also, attached is the north side of Evans if you're planning that.
Route: Chicago Lakes

Info: No traction carried and wouldn't have used if carried. Ascended via Chicago Lakes and descended via the rige/road back to Echo Lake.
Route: From Echo Lake
Posted On: 2019-12-23, By: amandaefaith
Info: Road from Echo Lake was boot packed and/or still showing a decent amount of pavement. Used snowshoes to cut through the trees to avoid one of the turns of the road saving some distance. Nice sugary snow! Once above treeline, everything was pretty bare.
Route: From Summit Lake
Posted On: 2019-10-05, By: HikesInGeologicTime
Info: Started shortly after noon because a) you can do that at this time of year! and b) because the National Weather Service said winds were supposed to die down in the afternoon. Hahahahahaaaa. I weigh 160 lbs. (probably 170-175, total, factoring in the weight of my pack and fully loaded ski jacket) and had to dig my heels in hard a few times to avoid getting blown over near Rogers' summit. Descended to the road in order to avoid getting gusted off the otherwise forgiving ridge entirely. Glad I did that, though bear in mind that if you do this after having started at or near Summit Lake, you'll be going back *up*hill on the road. It's an easy grade, but I completely understand the sentiments of those morally opposed to going back uphill in order to get back to their cars! All told, though, Warren and Rogers are great for a quick and easy alpine summit long as you do them tomorrow. Once the Mount Evans road closes on Monday, they'll be way more of a slog.
Route: Echo Lake
Posted On: 2019-07-04, By: HikerGuy
Info: Bone dry. Started at Echo Lake and worked my way up to treeline, easy to find a path with little understory and using game trails. Made a beeline to Goliath Peak then on to Rogers and Warren. Wildflowers are starting to look nice.
Route: Echo Lake Loop
Posted On: 2016-10-29, By: JasonKline
Info: Echo Lake -> Goliath -> Rogers -> Warren -> Spalding -> Gray Wolf -> Echo Lake loop almost entirely clear. The small amount of snow was easily avoidable.
