North SlopesPosted On:

I attempted to traverse to Point 13,155 from Point 13,180 C and found the rock too dangerously loose for my liking. I got to the volcanic hoodoos a few hundred yards from Point 13,155's summit, found they crumbled when touched, and then bailed north down steep, hardpacked dirt and rock to the Colorado Trail. Once on the trail I followed it northeast to the north slopes of Point 13,155, which are Class 1 grass. The summit block is intimidating looking but there's a Class 3 chimney and boulders you can climb up on solid rock to the summit. This rock is far, far better than the rock at the hoodoos, so don't let it scare you off. If traversing along the ridge to Point 13,300 and Point 13,155 be aware the rock on the ridge is exceptionally, dangerously loose.
