The road, though potholed in many places, is completely open to Mineral Park. A passenger car with careful driving could probably make it to Bristlecone and even higher on the mtn (but why try?). Enough snow on some of the switchbacks on the upper mtn road (say 12,500) that would seem to still prohibit a 4-whl from getting to the Dolly Varden mine.
