Status Update
Just like the last report, one area of concern is cut way below the THs in the area that a standard sedan could scrape on. Washboard and tire popping rocks are not of any real concern here which is different for a Sawatch dirt-road TH approach although, they are not totally absent. When getting to the TH proper, the site lists a counterclockwise direction of travel but I would say that if you were white knuckling a Ford Taurus up to the TH...do not go counter-clockwise as it is super rough for a vehicle of that sort...stay left and park where you can.

So, a 2009 Subaru Outback should be plenty of car?? How would this road compare to fourmile creek or kite lake??

From what I Googled...

Your Outback has the same ground clearance (within .2in) of my '15 Frontier 4x4. I saw several Crosstreks up there and the only cars parked super low before this cut were two 2wd Ford sedans. The cut can be mitigated by going wide-right on the way up if memory serves correctly. I think with careful driving (just not too fast!) it would be no problem. I remember Kite Lake TH road (2018) was tougher, the dips were more numerous and deeper and there was more loose rock on the road than this one. I went to Fourmile on a motorcycle in 2017 and am a bit fuzzy on it but would say Fourmile was rougher than this (N Cottonwood Creek) road.

I think you'll be good. Let me know what you think when you get back!

There is no bathroom at the North Cottonwood TH. There are pit toilets at the Silver Creek TH, which is on the way back to N Cottonwood TH.
