Notes: Day #2 on this trip after doing Grays yesterday took Nicole and I to Mt. Sherman. I could breath much better today after a good night‘s sleep. We started out at about 7am to a warm day with a light breeze and full sun. The hike was slow over the boulders in the gulch and up some scree in the gulch. There was light traffic on the gulch route, but more when our route met the standard fourmile creek route. Nicole didn‘t like the ridge to the top which was open on both sides to a dropoff. We summitted in just over 2 hrs, spent 15 minutes at the top admiring the view and made it back down pretty quickly. Nicole thought the ridge to the summit wasn‘t so bad going down. It‘s easy to lose your way through the boulders near the bottom of the hike, so use the cairns as a guide. No big deal if you are off trail a bit, as you‘ll find it again due to the many cairns guiding you.
