Info: The road has been graded at some point in the last two months and now any car can make it to the upper TH.

Info: Summer conditions up to Silver Dollar TH. At the beginning of the road it’s a bit rutted out, which may prevent sedans/2WD ascending the road. Was the first car (RAV4) parked there yesterday morning, TH full upon return--mostly crossovers or higher, did see one minivan.

Info: Snowfree road to the trailhead, summer conditions.

Info: Road has some 1 ft ruts and water running down it from last couple snowdrifts, but medium clearance cars should be able to make it with some careful driving, AWD helpful, especially with the mud/water runoff. One larger rut to be careful of, maybe a foot deep. I scraped a little bit on the way up in my Outback. Many people opted to walk the road.

Info: Break out your snowshoes and get ready for an adventure. Super drive up Guanella Pass to the parking lot. We packed our snowshoes and hiked up to the Silver Dollar Lake trail head. The base is intermittent ranging from 1-2 inches to 26 inches.

Info: All of the trees that were blocking the road are now gone so you can drive up to the upper trailhead. The road looks like it is passable for 2WD as long as you avoid some rough spots.

Info: There are a lot of downed trees blocking the road, so you are forced to park next to the main road. Not a big deal though, as the walk is not that bad.

Info: The trees from the wind storm mentioned previously are still blocking the road about 100 yards +/- from the lower trailhead. It looks like it could be quite some time before they clear all the trees out, there are a lot of them.

Info: Open. The trail (road to Naylor Lake area) has a lot of downed trees over it due to a wind even in December, 2011.
