DO NOT attempt to take the unmarked road (Granite Street) from Crestone, as the road is blocked. Numerous dispersed campsites nearby. No bathrooms.
From Moffat (junction of State Highway 17 and Russel Street/Saguache County Road T): drive 7.3 miles east on Saguache County Road T and turn left onto Saguache County Road 66T. Drive 5.5 miles on CR66T and the signed trailhead will be off to your right in a grassy meadow. It is difficult to see the trailhead sign to pay close attention.
From Crestone (junction of Galena Avenue and Alder Street): drive south on Alder Street for 0.1 miles, turn right on Golden Street and drive 0.2 miles, then turn left on Birch Street and drive 0.4 miles, then turn right on Saguach County Road T and drive 4.5 miles. Turn left onto Saguache County Road 66T. Drive 5.5 miles on CR66T and the signed trailhead will be off to your right in a grassy meadow.
