There is parking along both sides of the road. The trailhead is in between an old stone building with three large, red doors, and a set of road closure gates (used during winter storms).

Driving Directions

Measuring from the intersection of US 550 and Ouray County Road 361 (also known as Camp Bird Road) just south of Ouray, drive 5.8 miles south on US 550 and the trailhead will be to your right immediately off the highway.

Winter Access

Barring closures during storms US 550 is plowed and the trailhead is accessible.
