Kelso Ridge Winter Ascent: Sometimes A Pic is Worth 1000 Words

I hope Bill doesn't get mad at me for not writing an actual TR, but I thought the pics explain a lot about the current route conditions on Kelso Ridge. Message me if you wish to know more specifics about the route. For future reference, the snowpack in the South Platte drainage was 109% of average at the time of this climb and the Grizzly Peak Snotel station at 11K in the area had a snow depth of 44 inches. Compared to other TR's on Kelso Ridge, I would say the snow on the route was about average.

I've always thought Torreys is a good looking mountain and the snow just makes it even better. Cool video Kevin!

Shots of Grays

Did you happen to get any good shots of the slopes of Grays? Wondering if there's anything skiable on it, and can't get to the vid at work >_<
Thanks!

Grays

Greg, Grays is pretty wind scoured as of Mon, probably the driest I have seen it in my winter visits up there. There is enough snow to ski down by the saddle, but I wouldn't trust it right now. There's not enough snow for a ski descent from the summit right now.
