What was supposed to be 3 straight days of corn skiing somehow metamorphisized in to an 11 hour Gore slog, a 9 hour tour of Crystal's North Face (aka ET's Grundle OR Al Davis's Forehead OR Satan's Taint - a quick PSA this line is NOT in whatsoever) and then nothing on sunday. But the Gores delivered, here's proof.
Those were our ski tracks you saw on the left side of the drainage - we skied this on the 24th! We climbed up the right couloir though instead of the left since it topped out closer to the summit, but skiing down we cut over to the couloir you guys climbed since it appeared to have less debris...pretty sure both couloirs had some unavoidable death cookies though. Any idea if these are called the ”Gunbarrel Chutes”? I heard someone mention that name in association with East Partner, but not sure if they were talking about the SW face.
So much to ski on the east side of that range. I've heard the twin chutes on skiers referred to as the gunbarrel chutes as not sure what's correct
