Albuquerque is really hard to spell.

Hello my friends! I bet at some point in the last six months you have asked yourself, what happened to that goingup character? Did she give up? Does she think she is too cool for us? Did she decide puzzling was a far more interesting hobbie than mountain climbing? The answer to all these questions is no. She rolled her ankle one too many times trail running and landed herself in a walking boot for six weeks.

During the dark boot time I decided to pull the trigger on something I have wanted to do for a very long time, road trip across the west/pacific northwest for an entire summer. I also pulled the trigger on creating my own blog so I could document it.

I turned my tiny two door Honda Civic into a mobile home, yes I sleep in it and here is how....

Pimp My Ride Phase I

Pimp My Ride Phase II

I have been on the road for about two weeks and I am loving it.

Here is a link to a couple peaks I climbed in New Mexico:

The Sandia Mountain Range

I'll be posting any notable climbs I make throughout the summer. But if you wish to follow me along just for the hell of it here is the link to my blog's main page.

Adventures of the Pint

I hope all is well out there in 14er land and everyone has a super safe summer climbing season.

how are you mitigating the risk of rolling over in your sleep and busting a knee cap on the trunk lid?

Sharks fin

That "shark fin thing" is known as the Thumb..... You can Class 3 it to the top if you head straight up the Rock slide in upper La Cueva Canyon..... The NW Ridge of the Thumb is a Sandia ultra classic going at 5.6, easily one of the best moderates in the Sandias.... OTOH, the east side of th Thumb has one of the scariest trad routes I have ever done, Aviary Ort Overhang, which goes at a totally sandbagged 5.9/ 2 pairs of undies......Cool blog, nice ride!!! I’m jealous! Have fun!

@hokiehead I am really knees are actually in the back seat part. Also I don’t really flail about when I sleep. I have had no issues thus far.

@seano732 I have to get a partner and go back there. So many opportunities to climb in the southwest. Organ Mountains have endless possibility.
