I traveled all around the country this summer living in my car, climbing mountains in New Mexico, Texas, Utah, Nevada, California, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming (solo climbed the Middle and South Teton in a day wahoooooooo) and hopefully some day I will finish writing about my 3 month road trip (which was the simply the best). If you wanna check out the other stuff I am doing, go to adventuresofthepint.com and find the out of state button under "Adventures."
But that is neither here nor there because I am home, and home is in Colorado....more specifically Rocky Mountain National Park.....even more specifically Wild Basin.
Shared a beautiful day up Isolation Peak and her neighbor Mahana with Chris. The beauty of Wild Basin is unmatched.
Indeed there are. Usually they just involve earning it, like you said.
Congrats on a fine summit. Isolation is sweet. I’m glad you guys got to make a good circuit out of it and find some renewed passions. If there are any summits that deserve a dance party, this is one of them.
And oh ya: Dillon is right. Gotta watch out for gaper–eating, alpine pedobears on Isolation. Gald you made it out unscathed.
Dillon and Zambo ~ The pedobear attacked me on the west banks of Isolation Lake but I was trying not to relive the horror. WHAT THE HELL IS A PEDOBEAR?
Sunny and Jay ~ Thank you both so much! I have missed 14ers.com
