9/17/2015 : Teakettle Mtn, Mt. Sneffels 9am. Leaving Yankee Boy Basin at 11,300ft. Potosi Pk. 13,786 to East. Looking North to Teakettle from about 11,800ft Beside the Coffee Pot, Looking NW at Teakettle. Black gully is center right. Looking back SE at Coffee Pot and Potosi Pk. Crux of Teakettle. 30-40ft. Good rock. Summit of Teakettle. Not much room to jump around. My version of "how far I can run in 10 seconds." My camera had 12 of these failed attempts!" There we go. Good enough. Back to the jeep around 2pm. Time for Sneffels SW Ridge. Approaching Blue Lakes Pass (12,700ft) Finale up Sneffels. About 14k. Sensational climbing. The summit view East by Southeast. Should have bought that tripod. One last glance at Teakettle. I'll be back! Rocky shortcut to Telluride. Highest point my jeep has ever been. Another example of how far Rob can go in 10 seconds. 9/18/2015 : Dallas Pk. Stan's shortcut, but crossed the creek too early and climbed a sketchy chimney with a dead tree in it. Leaving the Skyline Trail, looking North at Dallas. About 11,800ft. Above 12k, the route skirts right under the cliffs to a notch. Approaching the summit tower. At 13,600 or so. The tower in the center is the one! Dallas crux. 5.3 felt about right. Woohoo, made it despite all those built up fears and self-doubts. Sneffels to NE. Rappelling NE corner. "Aim for the hole 85 feet below!" - Good call, Gerry.
9/19/2015 : El Diente, Mt. Wilson, Badstone Pk, Wilson Pk. Rock of Ages saddle, looking at Wilson Pk. Navajo Basin. Mt. Wilson (Left) and El Diente (Right) El Diente, North Buttress. Great scramble, 4 inches of snow above 13,800ft. Left spikes in car, and no axe, but it went with some creativity and luck. So what if I'm a dork sometimes? One of the four great 14er traverses. El Diente to Mt. Wilson. South side is snow free! Looking back at 'the tooth!' Gladstone and Wilson Pk from Mt. Wilson I try not to take selfies, you know? Approaching Gladstone and traversing from Mt. Wilson to the 'Glacier' between them. A lovely gully up to the N. ridge of Badstone that I climbed. North Ridge up Gladstone. Trust nothing! "Probably Wobbly" Wilson Pk. from the Summit of Gladstone. 5:30pm What I just descended, slowly. Man, I miss Donkey Kong. That game was great. Fading Sun on Mt. Wilson and El Diente Summit of Wilson Pk. @ 7:40pm. Headlamp stopped working.Camera light guided me back to TH at 11pm. Turned 30 the next day. What a capstone to my 20s!

Thanks, man. I was really lucky with the weather this whole season and with my stock jeep not breaking down and with staying healthy. Sometimes the stars align...
I had a good run this September. First time in the San Juan Mountains and they truly charmed me.
