okay here it is, I am caught up in the music as it seems lately
A walk in the clouds...
The Joni Mitchell 1970 psychedelic version...
Rows and floes of angel hair
And ice cream castles in the air
And feather canyons everywhere
I've looked at clouds that way
But now they only block the sun
They rain and snow on everyone
So many things I would have done
But clouds got in my way
I've looked at clouds from both sides now
From up and down, and still somehow
It's cloud illusions I recall
I really don't know clouds at all...
The weather was calling for snow and wind but I had a plan and that was to pick up some peaks that I was snowed out on last year so nothing was to impeded my plan.
Stop looking down at the ground
Pick it out of the clouds
No one's gonna put you down
Just let it out let it out
Stop looking down at the ground
Just pick it out of the clouds
Just get it out get it out
Just let it all out now
heading right of the dragon's back
The original 1967 version...
Who will smile with him when the photographs are yellow
And share his memories when they're flowers in the snow
Who will smile with him when the photographs are yellow
Share their memories when they're flowers in the snow
a bit of color
old ice and new snow
hey over here
is this all there is
natures art
hey again, not so breezy here
I says, Hey! You! Get off of my cloud
Hey! You! Get off of my cloud
Hey! You! Get off of my cloud
Don't hang around 'cause two's a crowd
On my cloud, baby
is that all there is too
Cloudy days don't the sun ever shine anymore stormy weather will you always be around
When I'm down I can't stand cloudy days
the ridge to 13540, hard to see and not sure how well it goes
finally see this peak
The clouds are here
They aren't up in the sky.
I cupped them with my hands
and reached up high.
I said to these clouds,
"no more am I blind.
I have to see straight
and that will make me unkind."
Visions of blue,
I'm angry, I'm wise.
And you, you're under cloudy skies.
Blue air I crave, blue air I breathe
my Mach(J)ean
warm elk melted snow
there is some sun
11 miles and 5100 feet, generally good route with some added excitement due to the snow and wind in just a few spots, including the ridge down and up to 13540A at the last
Sunday the 25th
cold looking creek crossing
Sundog's tail
autumn and winter and steep
Uncompahgre
Sunshine
6.3 miles and 3200 feet, and I say it's all right.

May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. Edward Abbey
