 Mosquito-Tenmile Range Traverse

18741_01
Sheep go to Heaven; Goats go to Hell.

I recently traversed the Mosquito-Tenmile Range from Trout Creek Pass to Frisco, CO in a little less than four days alone and unsupported (no food/water drops). I wrote a long-form trip report here.

I also did a video diary (in three parts):

Dang! Absolutely unreal. And great writing, too! Having recently done just the measly tail end of this in the other direction - a big day in and of itself - I stand in absolute awe.

Very nice. I do think the fletcher/atlantic traverse goes more at 5.5. I climbed it and the difficult part was finding something that wasn't going to break loose (I did trundle a microwave up high). I would most likely free solo up it if I did it again, but I'm not sure what the move is if coming from the south? Rap is the easy answer...if you have a rope. A loose, snowy hell sounds awful....

I enjoyed the read. Thanks!

Way to execute and a great write-up: I really felt like I was there. Tweto, if you didn't already know, complied the Geologic Map of Colorado. That only clicked when I went back to college and saw his map on the wall! I did not realize the range's spine stayed above 13k for 27 miles. Unreal. I really need to get back there and explore more. Thanks for sharing.

Really want to repeat this... or maybe just the Horseshoe to Sheridan part...
