Bikepacking up (and down) Pikes Peak

Finally got around to cycling up Pikes Peak via the highway, then riding down Barr Trail. A little bit of bouldering, and a whole lot of bikepacking on the Colorado Trail + Rampart Range Road. Enjoy!

Pikes Peak is my favorite 14er. Super impressed with your skills riding your bike up in the wind and down with all that snow and ice! Very entertaining video as well.

A real pleasure to watch. WildWanderer, why is Pikes Peak your favorite 14er?

It's my favorite because it's where I learned how to seriously hike. I hiked it 14 times one summer. I'd start at 3am and be down by 11am (the 26 mile Barr trail route). I'd do it just.... because. I've slept at A-frame countless times and love the entire Pikes Peak region. About 2 years ago I was hiking down Pikes Peak and met someone hiking up. They asked me how many 14ers I'd done. My answer: "What's a 14er?" Long story short, Pikes Peak was my gateway drug to 14ers
Anyone who rides their bike up and down them is truly amazing!

I just discovered this. Awesome! You are braver than me! I took a MTB up during the trial period & I thought I was gonna get ran over 1/2 dozen times. Maybe because of the newness to the drivers. I dunno. That digger you took above treeline looked way unfun. You are NUTS...but in a good way!
