Pennsylvania Mountain - Mountain View Drive Trailhead

Today my family and I climbed Pennsylvania and had an amazing time. We parked easily at the trailhead at around 9am. We saw only about 10 people throughout the morning so there was plenty of parking for all hikers.

As you start from Mountain View Drive, the trail is easily found but at the first break in the trail go to the left. This will help you continue on the easiest path to the summit. The trail is very clear until about tree line but cairns line the two hills before the summit.

An important note is about the false summit. There are two hills that you need to overcome before you can make your way down and up one more time to the summit of Pennsylvania. Don’t be fooled by the large cairn at the top of the second hill, the real summit is just a little farther!! In July, with no snow, this trail is amazingly beautiful and a great morning adventure. 10/10 recommend to any avid hiker (and their dogs!).

Thanks for your report. I will need to find the trail head at Mountain View Drive. It looks like the way to go!
