 Decaliron Loop - clockwise

The Decalibron Loop one the easiest way to tag FOUR 14ers in one day starting from Kite Lake trailhead up to Mt Democrat first, then Mt Cameron, Mt Lincoln, Mt Bross, and finishing at Kite Lake again.

I had previously done this loop in early winter 2 years ago and did it counterclockwise in 3:50hr. This time I wanted to push the pace as fast as possible to see how fast I could do it, having a great companion and more experience this time around it sure did help. I started at 6:00 am at the Kite Lake trailhead had to park about 1/4 mile below because so many people doing it too. Jogged and power hike to Mt Democrat summit and made it in 1hr by 7:00 am, didn't spend much time in the summit just ran right back down to the saddle. Going up to Mt Cameron winds started picking up, power hiked my way up and made it to the summit by 7;35 am winds up there were brutal and pretty much the rest of the way. Ran almost all the way to Mt Lincoln because the trails weren't so steep any more and made it to the summit of Mt Lincoln to 7:45 am the winds were the strongest in this section of the trail for sure. I made full use of wind on my tail pushing me to reach the last summit and just ran all the way to the summit pretty much made it to the summit of Mt Bross the last 14er of the day at 8:05 am and again wasted no time to get down it was just too windy to enjoy plus I had to get back home kids to go on a promised bike ride with them at 10 am. Lost my trail on the way down from Mt Bross and had to improvise down sketchy terrain, and lost a little bit of time doing that made it down to Kite Lake at 8:45 am exactly 2:45hr to complete the whole loop.
