From the 2WD parking area, near 11,560', continue up Mosquito Pass road (
1) to reach the North London Mine -
2. Pass the mine and continue up the rough road (
3) to reach the 12,650-foot saddle between London Mountain (left) and Kuss Peak (right) -

Turn left (east) and follow a trail up London's west ridge (
5) to reach a rock tower -
6. Ascend nearly to the top of this formation before bypassing the last section, on the right. Reach another rock tower (
8) and, again, ascend part of it and look for an easy bypass on the right -
9. It really isn't as difficult as it may appear in the photos and it's easy to keep the difficulty at Class 2.
Past the crux sections, hiking is easier; Stay on or just right of the ridge crest -

11. When you reach 13,000', the summit is visible but still nearly 0.5 mile away -
12. Continue along the ridge (
13) and up a final pitch (
14) to reach the summit -

16 looks back over the ridge.
