Trailhead

Take Interstate 70 to the junction for U.S. 6. near the Eisenhower tunnel Follow U.S. 6 up to Loveland Pass (11,990').

Route

From the Loveland Pass parking, gain the ridge on the east side of the highway ( 1) and follow the super-sized trail ( 2, 3 and 4) for nearly 1 mile to reach the top of Point 12,915'. Turn left (north) to see another bump on the ridge - a false summit with an elevation of 13,152' - 5. Follow the ridge north/northeast, ascend a rocky section ( 6), and continue to the top of Point 13,152' - 7.

You've hiked approx. 1.4 miles to this point and the summit of Sniktau is now in view - 8. Continue north along the ridge and drop about 250' to reach the saddle between Point 13,152' and Sniktau - 9. Staying on or left of the ridge crest, follow the trail ( 10 and 11) for 1/4 mile to reach the summit - 12 and 13.
