Grays Creek Trailhead

Location:  Sawatch Range
Road Type:  2WD, rough dirt road 2   (0=Paved, 6=Very Difficult 4WD)
The Marshall Pass road can get quite muddy and hold some ruts.
Directions:  From the junction of U.S. 50 and U.S. 285 in Poncha Springs, drive 5.4 miles south on U.S. 285 and turn right onto the Marshall Pass road (Country Road 200) and reset the tripometer here. Drive 2.3 miles and turn right. At 3.1 miles, turn right at a four-way junction. Continue on CR 200 to reach the trailhead at 7.2 miles.
Winter Access:  Closed down near US 285.

2013-05-11 Dry and easily passable with any 2wd car. 2 to 3 miles past the TH a good amount of rock fall was prohibiting further progress. My sense says the forest service or a road crew will have that cleared soon. mtnfiend         
2012-04-21 Road is dry to the trailhead and I made it easily in my sedan. DanR         
2011-11-29 Trailhead is still accessible but there are some long icy and snow-packed sections on the road. 4WD is recommended right now. Another storm or two and this road will likely be closed. BillMiddlebrook
