You can do anything in a "suby" bro! JK, but seriously you really can. I have never driven this road or even seen it but I would say go for it.

When I did it a couple years ago my friend managed in a Suby with no problems. If it's similar you should be fine.

Along the road in the state park section (look for the concrete outhouses) before the last ranches in the approach description, same as where you had to park during the closure. Nice to see they noted the completion on the county site too. Props to the Huerfano County Roads and Bridges crew out of Gardner!

The landslide has been cleared! We drove up the road to hike Mt. Lindsay on 8/26/16 assuming we would need to park before the landslide only to find out it had been opened just the day before on 8/25/16. A new dirt road is in place that reroutes you around the slide. There is now clear access all the way to Lily Lake TH. See the pics!

I was up there just two days ago and the road is certainly passible, but it was quite muddy up there.

My '12 Outback made it to the lower Zapata TH last weekend with no problems other than meeting a Tundra in the new steep uphill portion through the tight woods. Also had to get out 3 times on the way down and roll foot high rocks out of the way. I was a little stressed that a decent rain would make it tough to climb out of the reroute.
