Re: summit stalkers

The oldest one I have ever found was on kismet by sneffles. Me and 3 others from the cmc hiked it on 08 17 1987 and the register had been placed there in August of 1934.

It was cool as my mom was only 6 months old when that register was put there. I am going to be hiking it again, and it will be interesting to see who has signed the new one we left over 30 years ago.

Here is a link to a report one of the people on the trip posted some time ago:

No names that I recognized, but a seldom seen register, placed in July 2018 and only about 20 names since then. Nice views of familiar 14ers. Anyone care to guess where I found this?

Thats a Roger Linfield register, likely on a 12er in the Elks. Meadow Mtn?

That's Belleview across the valley. So probably 13,062 B (which I haven't done yet).

The view of Snowmass is from the south, I think its PT 12489. I was on Meadow a couple of weeks ago, definitely too far south to be Meadow, and contrary to the name its not a grassy summit.

The photos show the Maroon Bells to the SE and Snowmass to the NE. It is an unnamed peak, 12,xxx just above Halsey Pass. Just a couple miles from Schofield Park (West Maroon Pass) trailhead. I don't know Roger Linfield, but sounds like Cougar got the guy who left it and Chicagotransplant got the summit .

This was on Cirque Mtn, the register was in pretty good shape for being a tube register that's 18 yrs old. I have never met him put have read his trip reports, I hope Boggy B got the 100$ cash he asked for in the summit entry.

Got Roached on the summit of the Matterhorn last month. No, not Colorado's Matterhorn, and not Switzerland's. This is the 10838' Matterhorn in far northern Nevada near the Idaho border.
