I want to be completely sure I have this right. It sounds like with the signed waiver I can access the Democrat/Cameron saddle from Kite Lake and then do Democrat to Lincoln from there. Do I have that right?
I am an alpinist from Oregon visiting Colorado for a wedding. I am hoping to attempt some 14ers this week and don’t want to screw up on the access issues y’all are having in this area.
Thanks!

With the signed waiver, you can do the normal "DeCaLiBron" loop (minus the very summit of Bross, you take the bypass ~100' below the summit and count that as your summit) from Kite Lake without issue.

Re: Kite Lake 14ers Reopening
Access Fund, CMC, Boulder Climbing Community, and the Fix CRUS Coalition are issuing joint action alerts this week to build awareness about the ongoing closures and access issues with state lawmakers. This is step 1 in our campaign to pass legislation in 2024 that addresses the situation once and for all. Most legislators don't know about these peak closures other than what they've seen in the news, which makes it difficult to get meetings, demonstrate it's a voter priority, and overcome the lobbying opposition from the CTLA. The best way to get the issue on the legislative agenda is to ensure State Reps and Senators are getting lots of emails, phone calls, and texts from their constituents.
We know that's possible because it's already happened - one of the Senators who voted no last spring is in talks with us about supporting the new version of the bill this year. They specifically cited all the emails and calls his office is receiving about the closures as the primary reason he reached out - voter opinions matter when there are a lot of them.
To support the Fix CRUS Coalition, you can visit the Action Alert on the Access Fund site and send a quick message to your representatives (it will help you identify them). It only takes 3 minutes but makes a big impact. Please share it widely with anyone you know who supports 14er access: https://www.accessfund.org/action-alert ... se-statute

Looks like access will be restored without a waiver in a few months

You still need a waiver for Lincoln and Bross (bypass).onebyone wrote: ↑Fri Sep 22, 2023 8:25 pm https://www.9news.com/article/news/loca ... 0fb8d049d2
