Wisconsin has an average elevation of 1,050 feet. When you return to the trailhead after climbing each peak, simply climb the peak another nine times to get the coveted 3000 feet of total elevation gain on that peak.

Since they’re 1,400 feet (not 14k) the rule could be the climber must ascend 300 feet (instead of 3 k).

Florida has the 300ers

Highly amusing to me that no points in FL have at least 300' of prominence. Equally amusing (and fitting) is that technically, the highest point in Florida is also a landfill:

Edit: I was unaware that FL is not alone in it's lack of prominent points. DE, KS, and LA are similarly flat.

I grew up in Wisconsin. They had TO BUILD mountains to ski on there.

It was so flat, I'm surprised they have that many peaks over 1,400 feet.

Living in slightly less flat California now.

Growing up at sea level, the tallest hill for 4-5 hr drive in any direction was 400 ft ASL, we would drive there to see the water from a distance. When younger and a friend and I were driving upstate NY we passed this sign that stated we just passed 1,500ft in "altitude", another friend in the car asked if we needed oxygen...
