Hey everyone, curious if anyone has experience packing into the Upper Snowmass Zone from Maroon Creek for a Snowmass summit.
Saw a last minute permit opened up and figured I’d have no shot waiting on a lake spot to open this late in the game so went for it.
Does anyone know how much elevation + mileage it’ll add to backpack into a suitable dispersed spot in the Upper zone instead of Snowmass lake? It looks like I’d be taking the junction around 8.1mi from Maroon Creek. Doesn’t appear to be more than a .75-1m RT / 2-300ft or so to the boundary but depends on where you can camp in the zone. Anyone have any insight on if there are spots to camp at near the boundary? Thank you!

(Was using the Four Pass Loop trail map to try it narrow it down)

I think you'd be better served using a satellite view there, but it looks like there are potential spots closeby to me.

Sarcasm or not, it's not even funny to post something like this. Not at this time. Reported.

Good call, thanks for the tip. After more digging, there's definitive spots about a mile from the lake, but I'm inclined to agree there's something manageable in this general vicinity much closer to the boundary. We'll see + report back if nothing else!
