Hi All,
Does anyone have experience camping at the Cathedral Lake TH? Usually, I'm solo and 'camp' in my car. For this outing my wife will be coming along so I'm wondering if there's space to throw up a tent and if the TH has outhouse style bathrooms?
Thanks!

I have car camped (slept in car) at Cathedral Lake TH several times with no issues. There are no bathrooms. I never searched for a place to pitch a tent, so not sure about that.

There’s a small spur road leading off the road to the TH that leads to a small meadow. It’s not very far from pavement. Both are visible on Google sat view. I tent camped there several years ago, so I’m not sure if it’s still open or has been blocked off nowadays.
I suspect you could probably park at the TH and walk a short distance off into the woods to find a flat spot. Your other option would be to use one of the Castle Creek road designated dispersed spots.

No bathroom at the trailhead but there is an outhouse nearby at the Ashcroft Ghost Town parking area, just north of the Ashcroft Nordic Ski area. I'm not sure on the overnight parking rules of this area, though.

I'm pretty sure there are "no camping" signs at the trailhead. I've slept in the back of my car, however, without any issues.
