Grey's / Torrey's Parking
I'm planning to climb Grey's / Torrey's on Sunday 9/1/2024. I'm driving from Texas and staying with friends in Broomfield. Bering Labor Day weekend, about how early does parking fill at the trailhead? I have heard 3:30am. Is that accurate?

On Labor Day weekend, I'd be shocked if it wasn't full by 6 p.m. Saturday night.

I dunno what time the lot will fill up but I would definitely advise against parking on the road below the trailhead parking lot cuz the sheriff has been up there writing tix and towing folks. You can always park at I70 and just thumb a ride from someone who is gonna try to drive up and take their chances. I always ask hikers if they'd like a ride on that road if I have room in the truck and I know lots of others do too.
