Water in the Sand or Cold Creek in July?

Post by EthanH »

I’m planning a quick backpacking trip around the great sand dunes nat’l park area and was wondering if anyone knew if there was water in these specific creeks, or in the general direction northwest of the dune field. Obviously, water is a greatly limiting factor for how far my group can travel, and the presence of a water source can trim the weight down a lot, with us needing only to carry about 2 gal at any one time. Any and all info is helpful, thank you.
