That video is amazing. I love the "doesn't look very bony" comment as you're (or whoever the skier is) is hollering. Love it.
Thanks for this! Have skied most of these areas in spring. The emma lake chutes on Democrat do seem like a pretty interesting early season option.Loveland Pass, Democrat's southeast chute, Peak 6, Peak 10, Dolly Varden and Moose Creek Bowl on Bross, Baldy, Vail Pass, Hoosier Pass, Mosquito Spoon. All usually have enough to ride in November

100%. I skied Python a couple of years ago in late December with far less snow than that.
WildernessJane, I totally agree- sand skiing sounds very mediocre until you actually do it. It's actually quite fun

I've skied Berthoud Pass in November before - maybe not as much fun, but generally seems to have less avalanche potential than a lot of Loveland Pass, especially when it's unconsolidated early-season snow. St. Mary's is my go-to for getting the TAY checkmarks in August and November (sometimes October, if it's a particularly dry autumn), but since I have yet to find "free" parking in that area that won't result in a tow, two months of the year is good enough for that, imho. Usually I get my October/November checkmarks when the resorts on my pass(es) start opening up their White Ribbons of Death; I figure I'll have plenty of time to earn some more core shots when spring rolls around.

Snake Couloir seems to come up here and there. Here's a post from 2005. Ofc 20 years later hard to know if the loading patterns have continued.
