I find the discussions on routes, tactics, timing, weather, and logistics to be more fascinating contributions than "Boom. Watching this is insane," hand-clap and wall-banging emoticons.
Nobody's questioning Homie's ability and decisions here - we're more seeing how our amateurish choices stack up to the beast doing it.

"The road to alpine climbing is pocked and poorly marked, ending at an unexpectedly closed gate 5 miles from the trailhead." - MP user Beckerich
I've always been curious about Cavedog's choice of routing in the Sawatch and Elks -- specifically, jumping between the ranges the way he did and going into Maroon Lake twice. Also, I wonder whether the Mosquito peaks are most efficiently climbed from the west side, considering how you're already there for the Sawatch. Not that my level of fitness is 1% of what these guys have. I've got the popcorn out.

How did he manage to get from Silverton to the Wilsons trail head in one hour and twenty minutes? Does he have air transportation? A Cape?
Spot#33 2:57PM Silverton; Spot#34 4:17PM Wilsons trail head-ish. What am I missing here?

Ophir Pass. I know I once read a post where he said he drove the road to South Colony Lakes in his Tacoma in 20 minutes.
Rain is letting up. The storm is moving north and clearing is coming in probably 30 minutes or an hour. It may quit raining or close to it by the summit of El Diente.

I think you have your John's mixed up, that was John Kirk of LOJ, and I was along, quite the ride. Bill Wright is driving his Landcruiser while crewing for John, I would guess Mr. Speed climber is also a fast driver.
One quick way to finish the grid, attempt the 14er record every month. Next up, winter 14er speed record.
I think he just did a check-in at the summit of El Diente. Go Homie!
