Doubt there is an Indian grocery store within 350 miles of Lake City, so this made quite the journey in someone's pack.

These are delicious, by the way, though I would have opted for the "Hot" instead of the "Mild".

Mike Garratt's summit registers might be the most sturdy, but Yusuf's are surely the most fun.

Found a small digital camera on Princeton. Discovered a picture of someone wearing a name tag, like at a conference. It was a French name. Googled it, found out this guy was a professor at the University of London business school. Got his email, spoke with him and confirmed he did lose the camera. Sent it back to him. He sent me a 50$ REI gift card in return. May not be a cool find, but an interesting one with a neat outcome.

My bff and I had backpacked 7 miles into Aravaipa Canyon (AZ) and camped outside horse canyon. That night as we were sitting around the fire, I found a single car key in the dirt. It was his. Very fortunate!

I was in the Black Hills this summer climbing with my son, and found a stainless steel bowl way back under a jumble of big boulders below Sylan Lake. It’s now at our local dog park.

My first trip to the Black Hills was very memorable. BFF and I were heading into Hot Springs near dusk when we saw an F150 flipped over just off the road. As I stepped through the sage to investigate, I almost stepped on the drivers body. Fun.

I found a giant moose shed/paddle while skiing. I didn't really need or want it so I took it to the antler shop in Gunnison and got $130 for it.

More "bizarre" than "cool":
I have been hiking/climbing in Colorado since 1987. Done the CT and hundreds of peaks all over the state. Have never encountered anything like this: This past August, I was hiking near Eleven Mile Canyon. Doing one of my regular hikes, that I have done over 50 times. Came upon a parked pickup truck in an unusual location. (Dead end dirt road in the National Forest.) Approached the truck and found a "deceased person" in the driver's seat. I called Park County dispatch and they sent the local fire dept. and a deputy coroner. I didn't hang around very long. When I later talked to the coroner, he said there was no sign of foul play. I suspect that it was a suicide, but I haven't followed up to read the coroner's report.
